Deep Bore Soakaways

A borehole soakaway is usually used where impermeable soils (clay) overlie permeable strata (chalk). In these cases the soakage must take place at depth and so a deep bore liner is used.
Similarly, if there is not enough space for a traditional soakaway then a borehole soakaway can provide the solution. Our cutdown rig is made to be broken down to the point that it can be carried in by hand and then rebuilt, enabling us to complete jobs that the vast majority of companies would not be able to with conventional rigs.
This method of removing water from site is only going to become more prevalent as local authority’s are moving away from offering surface water drainage and are increasingly requiring that surface water is drained at source.
Bearing in mind the scale of problem that this type of soakaway can solve, we believe that they are a very cost effective solution. A lot of the time a homeowner or even a builder might waste money on attempting a traditional soakaway only to have a comeback and inevitably need a borehole soakaway to take care of the problem.
